PSHE

Personal Social Health and Economic (PSHE) education, though coordinated centrally, is taught by individual form teachers. Each class has one period a week and the curriculum covers the three core themes: health and wellbeing, relationships, and living in the wider world (economic wellbeing and being a responsible citizen). Topics are dealt with at an age-appropriate level and the small groups allow considerable scope for discussion and debate.

PSHE lessons naturally lend themselves to opportunities for broader discussion and they form an important part of the school’s system for pastoral care.
